BCA is Bachelor of Computer Applications and is concerned with applications of computers. It is a 3-year graduation degree course generally for those students who wants to learn computer languages and who want to join software firms after it. Higher education opportunities include MCA and MBA.
B Sc IT deals with information technology and its applications. This degree is primarily focused on the subjects like software, databases, wireless and networking. Jobs in IT are found to be recession dependent, but let's hope for the better and talk about positives.

If you want to enter in the field of software, programming, web design etc particularly than opt for BCA and then MCA.
Bsc it doesn't give much emphasis on programming and software portion.

For those students who want to make a career in the computer applications, programming, and software development, the BCA course is better (than B.Sc. IT) option; while for the students who are desirous of finding advanced job opportunities in the internet technology and database operations & management, the B.Sc. IT course is better. Generally, the BCA and MCA are more prominent in the IT recruiting agencies, than the B.Sc. IT and M.Sc. IT. BCA is more productive and favorable for getting jobs in the corporate sector; while B.Sc. IT is more suitable for making careers in academia and disciplinary research. Hope it helps.

Which course you want to pursue that totally depends on what you wanna do after graduation. I mean if you want to work for a company as a developer then you should opt for BCA but if you want to be a professor then B.Sc. Is a good option for you. It doesn't mean that you cannot work for any company after B.Sc. But you have to work harder than others. The reason why I am telling you is that in B.Sc. The focus is on theoretical knowledge rather than BCA where you will learn about applications. Below are some of the best Private Universities:-
BITS Pilani, ICT Mumbai, Mumbai. VIT Vellore, Vellore. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Techno

Both the courses are related to computers, and you will learn a lot about software and their applications in both the courses so both are good but B.Sc IT seems a bit tough.

B.Sc. In IT will be better as IT sector is ever growing and technical skills are always used in a company, so B.Sc. Will give you a wider scope than BCA.

As per my opinion and my knowledge, you must go for BCA, as you also know that today's world is an environment of IT and need aspirants pursuing a career in the same field, and so by doing this course you can increase your chances of selection and have bright future ahead. All the best and have a great life ahead.

According to me, BCA is better than B.Sc because BCA is more concerned with software technology and its applications in practical than B.Sc.
