B.Tech from LPU cannot actually be compared to any other institution in the country. Following points make it entirely a different experience altogether:
Large number of specializations within the streams. For example only CSE has about 8 specializations within its ambit. Large number of industry trainings like Github, MOOCs and many more. Huge diversity of students and faculty. The sheer number of people from different states and countries with highly competitive environment helps the students in getting used to work in cross cultural environment and team work, which is desired skill set in many companies. Large number of hackathons, c

Well in my opinion, I will recommend Lovely Professional University. LPU is the best private university to go for B.Tech, it is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. The students also work on live projects, so that they are able to apply their knowledge to practical settings. It is one of the few that has embraced international practices when it comes

LPU is better in terms of academic prospects as compared to local universities in WB. Though, as an advice, if you are financially stable, do not prefer distance education at scale and if you are getting CSE in Techno India University then go for it. Else, LPU is better then TIU-Kolkata in all respects be it placements, infrastructure or curriculum.
