Choosing Chitkara University for engineering is same as you picking the best option for your future self. Chitkara has the most amazing facility, faculty members, opportunities, curriculum to offer to the candidates who wish to pursue engineering, computer Science, B.Tech, BE or even Masters. The companies that visit the campus of Chitkara University to recruit students, as Amazon, HCL, Wipro, Infosys, Infotech, et cetera. Dear Applicant, we should not compare the two; both the universities are good at their place. But as a student of LPU I would like to say LPU is best because in India LPU is one of best private university. Its ranking, placement, education, infrastructure and diversity make this university one of a kind. LPU comes under top 100 amongst all private and Government University. This year what shook me the most is the recent ranking by the world's university ranking again amongst all government and private university. In lovely professional university from 100 students 90-95 students get placement. Specifically in B.Tech, the highest salary

Both universities are excellent in their areas, as I am talking about LPU, this university is different in the northern region of India. The reputation of this university is higher than any other university around and cannot be compared because LPU has its own standards. The management of the university is one of the best in India with a case study on LPU management in the curriculum of every college student. There is also enough funding for startups and projects (high quality). The campus has green spaces including air conditioning, Google and IMAC labs, litigation, fine art studios, countryside, space center, playgrounds and both gir

In terms of pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), I would recommend considering Chitkara University as a strong option among Lovely Professional University (LPU), Chandigarh University, and Chitkara University. As a current student at Chitkara University, I can attest that it offers a favorable learning environment. Although Chitkara University also admits a significant number of students in the CSE branch, it has a comparatively lower intake than both LPU and Chandigarh University. When it comes to placements, Chitkara University has a commendable track record, provided that students put in appropriate hard work

All these universities are recognised in top tier of Punjab but Looking from the respective of student, Chitkara University gives the best ROI for computer Science student. As the students get the all round development across different fields and categories which enables them explore their potential. The University campus is a treat to eyes making different departments come together and work along side. As a CSE student I have seen a high case development in myself around different computer Science subjects and languages. The crash course for life skill development is still a USP for me. The faculty as well as the management have helpe

As an alumnus of LPU, I feel proud to answer this question. I was a student in the B.Tech CSE of 2012 batch, the knowledge that I gained while my course duration has helped me a lot in shaping my career. I am currently working as an Application Development Analyst in Accenture, Noida. To begin with, LPU provides a lot of options in engineering only. It is one of the most highlighted courses. It has B.Tech and B.Tech (Hons) courses. B.Tech (Hons. ). With time they had introduced my new programs considering in mind the change occurring in technology. LPU has been ranked in the top 100 private universities by many outer agencies such as B

Hi, B.Tech CSE is not an ordinary programme!
It requires a lot and lots of infrastructure and industry input to run successfully. Since the speed of changes in technology is breakneck, the universities need to be highly dynamic in nature to adjust their curriculum as per requirements almost continuously. There is an only a private university that can actually say that it has excelled in curriculum development, industry interface, diversity, professional enhancement, community development exposure, entrepreneurship exposure, technology training, infrastructure, and teaching pedagogy and that is LPU. More than 700 faculty members are PhDs

The demand for computer Science engineers has been strong both in India and overseas. The scope of employment is very good and opportunities exist both in IT and non-IT companies for students of computer Science engineering. Though all the colleges are good in terms of academic structure but being an alumni let me share the details. Computer Science and Engineering programme is a popular branch among students and offers decent job opportunities after graduation. Students who are interested in programming, software development, computer Science and have good analytical and reasoning skills may pursue this course. With the high demand of

Hey, so from what I've checked on LPU's official site, the NEST counselling is mainly done online, which is super convenient for us students anywhere in India. You just log in after your results, pick your preferred courses and seats based on your rank, and lock it all in digitally—no need to travel right away.
It's got this smooth flow: download your scorecard, fill choices online, get seat allotment via merit, pay the initial fee (like INR20,000) through net banking or UPI, then submit docs later. LPU makes it flexible too, letting you pay offline at campus if you prefer, but the core process stays online for quick access.

Yeah, LPU totally releases the LPU NEST counselling dates on their official site—it's super organized and student-friendly. For 2026, they've got it starting February 8th onwards for B.Tech, with online seat preferences from Feb 8-10, results on 12th, and admissions up to late Feb. Results drop quick, like within 24-48 hours post-exam, so you can jump right into counselling without waiting forever.
It's all online mostly, through nest.lpu.in, where you update choices and get allotments based on your score—makes it easy from anywhere. No offline hassle unless you want campus visits for fees. LPU keeps everything updated live, way

Yes, it is actually very much required to bring along Class 10 and 12 certificates or at least mark sheets during the LPU NEST counseling, primarily because the university explicitly would wish to establish the age of applicants from the Class 10 marksheet and verify eligibility with the Class 12 certificate/marksheet before confirming admission and awarding a scholarship.

at LPU NEST counselling, you would have to check the result & rank, fill and lock online course/seat preferences, get the allotment of the seat based on the rank and choices, pay to secure the seat by paying the initial fee, and go on to upload/verify documents and pay the remaining fee within the stipulated time for final admission.
