    Hi
Mba is a post grad degree whereas pgdm is a diploma. Mba are hence regulated by UGC where the syllabus may change after years whereas pgdm are industry driven. Anything that is required by the industries is updated immediately by the institutes.
IIMs provide pgdm and not mba and the placements are evident of what to pursue.
Hope this gives you some clarity.

Both are equivalent in terms of degree. MBA is exclusively awarded by Universities whereas Individual colleges PGDM. So, a candidate can opt for either of these.

It depends, PGDM is way more costly than MBA, but it's said that PGDM is more focused towards the industry. You may get a lot of extra points. But the admission in PGDM consists of GD and interview for the top colleges.

PGDM or post graduate Diploma in management is offered by autonomous institutions as they cannot offer MBA. Today, most of the students are in a confusion whether to opt for an MBA or a PGDM. Both are different but PGDM has got a couple of benefits as compared to MBA.
While choosing an institute for doing PGDM, one should make sure that he chooses an institute with a good brand name. MIME is one such institute where the brand name talks. MIME (Mats Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship) is the first B-School of JGI Group.

PGDM is much better. MBA course remains the same for decades. But, PGDM courses are revised yearly to meet the corporate needs. Practical exposure along with strong academics will fetch you fat salary in corporate world if you have PGDM.

PGDM courses are industry oriented unlike MBA, which are more theoretical in nature. PGDMs focus more on grooming programs, mentorship and industry exposure. MBA is a foremost career option that is pursued to be the best career option after compilation of BBA. The majority of students seek to pursue MBA after BBA or other commerce-related courses to just sharpen their skills, knowledge, and their educational background to perform well in their respective jobs in the corporate or finance world. MBA have a promising future as their income structure from the preliminary level in their profession is far higher than normal Masters Students.
