Which is better among mechanical and mechatronics engineering in terms of better scope and placement at Lovely Professional University?

Listen if you are concern about your placement then you should do mechatronics as this is a new field and there are too many scopes coming this way, but mechanical engineering is also one of the best parts in engineering.

For placement-mechanical: There are a very few job vacancies in mechatronics for freshers in very few organisations. Since you will not study some core subjects of mechanical engineering, you won't be able to clear GATE or any other exam. It might be a problem a problem if your goal is to do job.

In LPU, mechanical engineering is definitely better than mechatronics. The core reason for this is because mechatronics is newly introduced and does not find a skilled approach to teaching.
