    Both NIT Rourkela and NIT Calicut are top Engineering institutes. However, JoSAA R6 closing ranks for B.Tech in CSE at NIT Rourkela is 2883, whereas for NIT Calicut it is 4521. Admission to NIT Rourkela B.Arch and B.Tech courses is based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. The faculty is good at NIT Rourkela and NIT Calicut has a great infrastructure. So which one is better college or university depends on what the person is actually looking for in a particular college/university, or institute.
