Both are equally good streams to pursue engineering. On one hand computer Science deals with hard core computer technology where learning is from very deep core computer subjects on the other hand information technology deals with subjects which are related to computer information system where are like security, web, etc.
On broader scale both are equal and is considered equivalent at time job placements.
    Hope it helps.!!!
