    Both B.Tech IT and B.Tech CSE have similarity in their syllabuses. IT syllabus is little easier and lighter in comparison to CSE syllabus in majority of universities.

Lovely Professional University which is most searched Institution nowadays because of recent NIRF rankings released by MHRD. # You will be very fortunate to study in such Institute which has clinched the position among top 80 best Institutions of the country.     Let me be honest, I am a student from CSE department. Actually CSE is considered to be a subject which provides you assured placement and that too with very higher package than any other branch. Basically, it guarantees you a peaceful and prosperous life ahead ; at least in terms of money. And who does not want to secure his/her future? So the main reason is pretty clear!
    However some top students do take CSE as they have a lot of interest in it. Some top students also take physics, engineering physics and other branches too because they are interested in those topics. Also, the best coders on Codechef maximum time is from CSE departme
