    Being a UP PCS officer is better than being an SSC CGL officer.
    1. The UP PCS officer is a group A job, whereas the CGL can make you a group B or C officer depending on the position you hold.
    2. In your career, you can be upgraded to the post of IAS after a certain year of service in the state PCS, but it is not possible in the CGL.
    3. In terms of perks, the CGL salary varies as per the post and can be up to Rs. 44,900 per month at grade pay level 8. PCS officers such as SDM get a salary of Rs. 44,000 with a grade pay of Rs. 5400.
    4. You can get additional perks, such as a government vehicle, as a PCS officer in UP PCS.
