M.Sc Microbiology is good choice for career, but you can only be successful, if you are interested in studying microbiology in depth. Whatever you choose to study, you have burning desire to learn. Otherwise, you get degree, but not job satisfaction.

Microbiology gives the liberty of working either in an industrial field or in the field of research where one can study microbiology in detail and discover different types of microbes. Botany, on the other side is a good option to go for if one is interested in research.

M.Sc. Microbiology is a vast field and has the recently updated practice in India. The research scope is also broader and deeper than botany and zoology. There are areas of microbiology that covers the topics of plants and animals. Mycology, parasitology and virology are some of the specialisations.
