Which is better between MBA in HR and MBA in marketing? I am a graduate from B.Sc in hospitality and hotel administration.

    You should go for MBA in Hospitality because you have already spent ample of time in same field. Colleges where you can do these courses are:Christ University - Bangalore
    Lovely Professional University - Punjab
    National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management - Hyderabad
    Kerala Institute of Tourism & Travel Studies
    Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management - Bhubaneswar.

    I can't say which is better for you, Both programmes has it's own merits and demrits. Always remember one thing, select your career by yourself, then only you will achieve success in your life. Figure out your interest, which qualities you have and which field is good for you. Let me make you simple for you.     Both are good you can go either into marketing or human resource both have their own advantages, but marketing has more scope and salary than human resources so go with your passion.

    Hi Dixit, Both the courses are great at their levels, but it depends how you want to shape your career or future. If you can do hard work and can do multiple things at one time, you should join Marketing MBA. It is an amalgamation of a different skill set like; you have to sales and advertising and other related things with it, you have to understand consumer behavior. On another hand, MBA in HR has a different approach, here you have to understand employee behavior and their improvements, you have to focus on human resource and their skill set, MBA HR is less hectic job compare to Marketing.     Both HR & Marketing are important in business and both require different skill-sets. In my opinion, MBA in marketing would have better scope because:
    1. Marketing is closer to the revenue of a business. Generally, companies consider marketing as profit-center and HR as Cost-center. If you do well in marketing, your contribution would be easily recognised by top management.
    2. I think marketing would have more jobs. As soon as a startup is founded, marketing executives are needed. However, HR exec's hiring could be postponed or outsourced till company becomes bit stable. In the same company, size of marketing team would be bigger than si
