    Mech has more scope but don't have to think about that you have to thik what u wanted to do where is your intrest. As per moto stop following start exploring.

    Today it doesn't matter whether you take EEE or Mechanical. After 2nd year you are going to be clueless and study JAVA and going to join an IT Company. This is the state of Most EEE/ECE/Mech engineers. Better anticipate this from the first year and spend 1 hour every day and start practicing programming.
    Based on your interest you can choose Mech or EEE. Whatever you learn from the class/Books/Net start writing program to implement the concept. Programming is nothing but teaching a computer. Unless otherwise you understand the basics concepts of your domain (EEE/ECE/Mech), you can not program. So you will start understanding the subject
