Which is better for chemical engineering between RVSE and MIT-Pune?

Hi Yukta, There is no chemical engineering course in MIT-Pune. It is offered in their sister branch at Alandi (AKA MIT AOE). In their main branch of Kothrud, Pune they offer petrochemical and petroleum engineering which is a very good option. RVCE is an ultimate college in terms of placements. Now, I guess there is no point of comparison if you are talking about the main branch of MIT-Pune. All the best.

RVCE has a far greater reputation abroad than MIT COEP. The branding of RVCE is very poor in India, especially north India. This is because they do not conduct any examination of their own and use COMEDK counselling as the preliminary selection. They select very less students through interview and Mains marks. However a stronger alumni network will get you good opportunities abroad. As to the placements, RVCE is consistently within the top 3 colleges with best placements in Karnataka, the rest consisting of NIT Surathkal and IISC CSE placements at MIT, Manipal University are always near 100% and packages upwards of INR 10 Lacs pa aren’t uncommon. Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs are few of the top companies that come for placements, as well as summer internships. As a student at MIT, Manipal University and from what I have heard from friends at RVCE, BMS & PESIT, I feel Manipal University offers a better college experience (both academic & nonacademic opportunities) than any other private college. That favor of RVCE is its location in Bangalore, which may allow you to explore greater off campus opportunities for placements and internships.
