    Hello,
If you want your career in only IT with some application development than select BCA. But, if you want extra than go with B.Sc computer science because it is a very big field. It contain IT itself.
Computer science field is a combination of IT, mathematics (computing), statistics, hardware, graphics, electronics and many more field.
BCA restrict you for only application development, database and web development, while with B.Sc you can do some extra ordinary things.

Both courses have great opportunities. BCS is concept oriented, it will teach you the core concept of IT/CS and you will have to study science subjects too. On other hand BCA is application oriented, teach current technologies, platforms. One can join BCA from science, commerce and arts background. But to pursue B.Sc you need to have a background of science. B.Sc. is a general course and BCA is a technical course, so getting job from BCA is easy than B.Sc. After B.Sc you can do M.Sc. IT/CS or MCA both. But after BCA you can only do MCA.Best universities for doing BCA and B.Sc are: Lovely Professional University- Punjab, VIT University Tamilna... view more
