Hello Prem, LPU is better than SASTRA. If you are looking forward to pursuing CSE in LPU, it's a good option. Within the first year, you will get to learn number of basic courses with 2-3 programming languages. With the advancement of the course, you will be learning numerous programming languages. In the third year, SAP will be introduced in the curriculum. A limited number of universities provide this course. Here in LPU, students will learn SAP for the entire third year providing them with an edge. At the end of second year, students get an option to choose one of seven different minors to pursue (IOT, Big Data, Web Development, Machine Learning, Android App Development, Data Science and Cyber Security). A student can opt for any, according to the field of interest. At the end of 5th semester, students are given an option whether they want to go for placements services or not. Students who opt for placement services are provided extra inputs on Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Aptitude and Programming Input. Students start getting internship and job offers from the 6th semester onwards. If you are eligible and possess all the requirements needed by the recruiter, then you may get placed in the 6th semester itself. The packages are quite decent too, for instance, the first company that visited the campus in 2018 gave a package of 13 LPA. Students do get placed and that too with quite a decent salary package. Apart from all the curriculum, you'll come across, literally, 100s of technical and non-technical competitions being held. SASTRA is not as good as LPU. It is a wonderful choice if you are interested in studying CSE at LPU. You will take several introductory courses in two to three programming languages during the first year. As the course progresses, you will learn a variety of programming languages. Dear Prem Goud, Both LPU and SASTRA University are good private universities in terms of studies and ranking in India. Being alumni of LPU I would like to share the details of LPU with you. I did my MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are a few points I would like to share about why CSE is good at LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. in which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. per annum by Microsoft. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the program. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. Hi, Both the universities are doing fairly good but I recommend LPU because my brother did B.Tech(CSE) from LPU and he is working in an MNC now. I have visited LPU several times during his 4-year journey. I will highlight some of the features. The staff is highly qualified and most of them are Ph.Ds. The faculty has in-depth knowledge of the subjects they are teaching and are supportive too. The curriculum is built keeping in mind the current technology trends and is vetted by the company officials. LPU offers different specializations namely IOT, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, Full Stack Web Development, Big Data, and many more. The placements at LPU are excellent. Moreover, they give you the option to choose your pathway elective as well that whether you want a corporate Job or Research or Government Job. The preparation for placements starts from the very first year. Many top recruiters visit the LPU campus to employ graduates, such as Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Capgemini, Bosch, TCS, and several other firms.
