Which is better for CSE- KIIT or LPU?

Dear Robin, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are good for higher studies. Being alumni of LPU, I am sharing the details of the CSE programme at LPU with you. Great Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 LPA. PEP Classes- LPU provides placement classes to all the students from the very first year who opt for the placement. These classes help students for placements so that they can get selected in the pre-final year because the companies will start visiting for the recruitment of students from a pre-final year. Some of the students go for internships also in their final year. The Knowledge Review has rated LPU as the 10th best Training & Placement Institution in India. Industry Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-ups with industries such as IBM, Intel, Xebia, Upgrade. Comptia, Transorg, Geeksforgeeks, etc. That help students to explore themselves more in their field. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. I don't know much about KIIT and their courses, but since I am studying B.Tech in computer Science and engineering from Lovely Professional University, I can give you an insight into my experience there. Infrastructure First of all, I would like to state that LPU is huge! The campus has everything that a student requires for his/her overall development. Since I am a CSE student, me and my friends spent a lot of time in the computer lab that has Apple devices for better understanding of iOS. Faculty and Education LPU houses some of the most experienced teachers. Most of my professors hold a Ph.D. degree which solely tells about their knowledge and expertise. They have provided insightful notes while their lectures have helped me get my basics strong. Apart from this, the teachers paid a lot of attention on each student which ensured a good average result. I scored above average marks in all the semesters and a lot of credit goes to the faculty members at LPU. However, if you are not willing to work hard, this University is not for you. A student would have to jot down important points, pay attention to the lectures and complete assignments in order to score good marks. Placements LPU is one of the universities that are known for its placements. Companies like ITC, Wipro, Cognizant, Google, Amazon, Trident, KPMG, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. L'Real India, Federal Bank, Colgate Palmolive, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, ITC Ltd. , Tata AIG, Kent Healthcare Systems Ltd. hire students from here. Talking about my experience, I am currently working in a multi-national company and all my friends have also successfully landed their dream jobs. Also, students from our batch managed to land jobs that offered a salary package up to 27.50 LPA which is record-breaking. Reputation LPU is undoubtedly one of the most renowned universities in India, but I would like to state certain facts that will give you a better idea. LPU attained 2nd position in the race of Most technologically aware crowd in 2017 by HackerEarth. Many students from IIT and NIT also participated in this race. It is also ranked as the best university to enroll for further studies by Business Barons. Apart from this, it was also counted amongst the top 14 best private engineering universities in North India.

LPU Engineering school has been ranked 66th among the top Engineering Universities and colleges of India. Engineering Programs at LPU are in the same league as BITS Pilani & many of IITs. LPU has a tie-up with VMware IT ACADEMY for giving students and faculty exposure to products like vSAN, sphere, NSX, Workspace, Airwatch and cloud, including certifications. LPU was ranked SECOND by Hacker Earth leaving behind most IITs among more than 5000 universities, from all around the world. LPU students designed and created India's 1st Solar-Powered driverless bus which was featured in various national media and which made a maiden run in the Indian Science Congress 2019 held by LPU, which was inaugurated by The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. And many more, with great placement opportunities, there is a very good holistic environment for one to study and get ready for the corporate world while sharpening your skills and knowledge. The placements at LPU are almost unexpectable. Someone gets a really good package while some get very less, it depends upon your portfolio and the interview. Mostly, the interviews matter a lot. If you did well over there you will definitely get a good job. Recently in the Amazon placement drive, 15-16 students got a package in the range of 11-16 Lacs and it's a good package, Tanya Arora she got 42 LPA from Microsoft. But at the same point, there are some companies who took the students at the package of 3.5-34.5 Lacs. There will be many placement drives conducted by Tech Mahindra, Samsung, Koni Labs, Hitachi, Honda and many more. It depends on how you perform. Innovative and productive environment, more emphasize on practical sessions with the benefit of having ragging free campus.

Being an alumni of LPU I had lot of friends in CSE stream so I had an idea about the B.Tech CSE.
