Which is better for fashion design: Amity University or LPU?

Both are premier higher educational organizations, but as per the feedback from Alumni of all the both, in present day scenario, LPU is way ahead in terms of Infrastructure of Academics and cultural/sports, as these significant combination is needed for overall development of a student, further as per there feedback, LPU is having a great placement track record. LPU School of Design offers its students cutting-edge labs and equipment to simulate the industry environment with practical exposure to the fashion industry right from designing to merchandising. The school provides a platform for students to experiment with creative designs, patterns, fabrics and colors. Hi Nomanjee, If you aspire to become the future fashion designer, merchandisers and entrepreneurs. Fashion Technology Programme will work. Both the Universities are equally good. In fact, location of Amity University has an edge over location of LPU. Anyways, you must be congratulated that you are planning your career and doing comparison in one of the top Universities of India. Although, You can proceed your education from NIFD via qualifying UCEED exam or there are so many other prominent Institutes like in North India there is LPU. Lovely Professional University is located in Phagwara place nearby Jalandhar city of Punjab state. With provided best infrastructure to learn new extents in this profession they produce a quality experts within in the gestation period of course duration. I have attended one of their Annual graduating Fashion show where students were the show stopper, models those were doing marvelous ramp walk and they were fashion designers also. What if you are a Native of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal, Haryana, or Chandigarh then preferably I would suggest you to go for LPU. Not just because of distance but LPU do have such potential to make you ready to take good opportunity in this profession in India as well as abroad. ! In LPU, Fashion technology is not only limited to garments or glamour inside the campus only. Students are getting exposure to garment manufacturing companies, fashion houses, export units etc. Providing good placements after the completion of their studies has become a good habit of LPU. Though both the universities are good in terms of academics but being an alumni of LPU let me explain in detail. The salient features of this course (B. Design (Fashion) B.Sc. (Fashion) includes:-Availability of international forecast WGSN for trend forecasting. The latest machinery & soft wares to keep students at the cutting edge of technology. The various programs of the dept. Are supported by materials like books of various international publishers, state of the art labs and design studios. The emphasis is on self-motivated learning by using creativity, exploring techniques & innovating new applications in fashion. In B. Design (Fashion) the students are provided with an opportunity to showcase their design collection through an Annual Graduating Fashion show. These programs aim at educating the students on all facets that make up this growing industry, through workshops/ seminars, market research, Industry visits & craft documentation. School of Design provides international exposure opportunities like international study trip, exchange programme, summer/research studies. Students get a chance to attend fashion weeks by FDCI where they get to work backstage with eminent designers and deal with buyers and several clients attending the show. Hi, After conducting a lot of research, I finally concluded that LPU is the best fashion design between these institutes. LPU provides a wide range of programmes and streams with good infrastructure and offers ample opportunities for eligible students to secure good placement. LPU has been awarded National Employability 2020 for the Best Placements. Fashion Shows are also conducted regularly for the students. It gives a great chance to the students to show their talent in front of a big audience. The students are trained at leading brands like Raymond, Ginni & Jony, Hyper city Bangalore, Monte Carlo, and leading export houses like Laguna, Shahi, Orient clothing Silver Spark, Raymond's Limited, Gupta Exin, Orient Clothing, Orient Craft, Foster Knit Pvt. My cousin sister is pursuing B. Design (Fashion) from LPU itself. She has discussed few points with me about her course:- She told me Study tours are an integral part of curriculum with visitation of architectural and prominent sites provides maximum exposure to learn technicalities of architecture. She said. Fashion designing is a branch having a lot of scope and in LPU, they give a lot of exposure to students, through guest lectures from industry top shots, various in campus and out campus fashion shows, and also they have their own store where the students creations are showcased and sold. The school provides a platform for students to experiment with creative designs, patterns, fabrics and colors. Live with fashion events, visits by renowned national and international fashion designers, innovation and creativity is fostered in the students at every step. They are encouraged to experiment with different materials to create conceptual wear and accessories. Also Students are exposed to fashion shows, craft fairs, industry internships and craft documentation. They get intensive exposure to practical work in Pattern making, Draping, Weaving, Printing, Dyeing, Garment Construction labs. Students are given various Live-projects during the course of the programme to create commercially viable designs. LPU provides a good platform for placements for all streams and programs. LPU has a separate dept which looks after placement opportunities. Apart from that, each school has its own placement coordinator who is responsible and actively works for not only calling companies to the campus, but also for preparing students for placements by giving them proper training.
