Both civil vs. mechanical engineering yields some similarities, the biggest difference between the two careers is what professionals in the field engineer. A civil engineer helps design and create buildings, infrastructure, and other large-scale structural projects. Mechanical and civil engineering are very popular yet unique engineering fields. Both are very wide in scope and also share some common grounds. In the area of fluid mechanics and hydraulics, both overlap a great deal. Do CS or IT if you are only job oriented.None mentioned above is actually good for job in India . Mechanical fresher gets too less.Evn if u are mechanical engineer, there are 75% chances that you would get a job in an IT company in your college placement because there are hardly any core mech companies visiting any institute.

Dear Dipankar, LPU is the best engineering college in India. LPU becomes the best place to pursue an engineering degree with highly qualified teaching staff, best laboratories, and modern technologies. LPU provides abundant opportunities for students to think out of the box. If you get overwhelmed by the structures and construction, civil engineering is the one for you. If you are intrigued by machine designs, their mechanics, and dynamics, go for mechanical engineering. Both are good streams but it depends on your interest as to which stream you want to join and interested in. Mechanical engineering yields some similarities, the bigge
