Which is better for my future in terms of job among civil and mechanical engineering?

You can opt for anyone which interests you. As per the current scenario, mechanical will give some extra edge over civil engineering and also, with less competition as compared to civil. Mechanical engineering is an evergreen core branch of engineering. It has withstood all market and cyclic changes. Its job opportunities are very high since last 5 decades. In my opinion it has more opportunities in comparison to civil engineering.
