For a working professional, MBA through distance mode is a better option. For a working professional MBA is just like a passport to take entry in any organization into top management. Distance learning institutions will provide you weekend classes, study material and proper guidance. You can do your study and job at the same time.

Regular MBA is always a preferred choice of all employers. Learning is maximum when you interact with faculty and fellow students. Therefore, if you do not have any personal constraints, it is recommended that you may prefer full time MBA over MBA by distance learning.

If you are working and don't want to leave your current job, then distance MBA is the best option. You can do it from IGNOU, SMU or Symbiosis. But, if you are doing full time MBA from a reputed institute, then you can also get opportunities in big corporates through campus placement.

If you are willing to take a break from your job environment, you are financially sound and are prepared to afford the expenses till the completion of the course, then an AICTE approved regular MBA is always preferable. But if you do not wish to leave your job, then a distance MBA may be preferred.

    Hi,
Regular MBA is a better option than distance one. If you do not have any personal constraints then go for regular MBA because it will let you interact with your faculty, will polish your skills, will let you learn maximum, and will provide you 100% placement assistance whereas distance MBA can't provide all these options.
But if you are working with a company at a good salary, you can also consider pursuing distance MBA from Symbiosis Pune, NMINS & SP Jain Mumbai.
    All the best.

Dear Shivam, Distance MBA is valid where it is used just for eligibility. Don't actually expect any significant skill gain from the programme.

The answer lies in your question as the working professional can't opt for Regular MBA as they have to attend regular courses which are to be at the expense of the job. So, Distance MBA is the best one for working professional but you need to be clear about 1yr executive course or 2-year Diploma course. The better option is Regular MBA, but if you are working professional distance is better. Narsee Monji Institute of Management Studies School for Continuing Education, Sikkim Manipal University Directorate of Distance Education, ICFAI University and IGNOU are some universities.
