Which is better game programming or game designing?

I'm study Class XI now in PCM stream. I want to become a game programmer & I know C & basics of NetBeans IDE well. But I'm very interested in graphic designing. I now almost all PS basics without attending any courses. But my drawing is also poor. I wanted career related with gaming.
