I think IIT, BHU Mechanical would be a good choice. IIT, BHU is an old, reputed college and the department is great. Placements records are there. Alumni base etc. are also there. So, being an old IIT, it would be better.

In my opinion, IIT BHU is better for mechanical engineering then IIT-Hyderabad because IIT BHU provides good quality of mechanical faculty members and good course curriculum.
