.Net is a framework. There are many different kinds of .Net languages. These languages include VB.Net, Asp.Net C# etc. This is a Microsoft product and it was created for the windows operating system.

Both are having its own values. Java is Platform Independent Language and .NET is platform dependent Language.Java is having very vast area to explore. .NET is easy to use. Java Applications can be run on any platform like windows, linux, Mac etc but .NET has limitations to windows only.
