Which is better? MECHANICAL ENGINEERING or IT?

I am getting both these streams in the same college. plz make me understand what are the significance of these two streams.

    Mech engg is a discipline which has better employability and scope. But don't get swayed by it. If IT course interest you, you can opt that. It all depends how you perform in future. Best wishes.

    Hi Zeeshan,
    Mechanical Engineering and IT are two completely different fields. In Mechanical Engineering, you need to have a lot of physical strength while in IT, you need to storm your brain a lot. In Mechanical Engineering, you will always get placements as demand for this branch never falls low. But, you need to work for 5 - 7 years to reach a level of a good salary and obtaining a supervisory position.In IT, recession affects the IT field. However, you can achieve a comfortable position within 3 - 4 years and does not have physical labour. But, on the other hand, the work pressure and the targets will be high and challenging to achi
