    Mahatma Gandhi University was established in 1983. The university is approved by UGC and has been given an A grade by NAAC. The University of Kerala was established in 1937. The university is re-accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade. Kerala University has a score of 55.50 and ranks 24 among the top Universities in India by NIRF 2023, whereas MG University has been ranked 31 among the top Universities in India with a score of 53.44.
