Hi Gaurav,
Both institutes stand in top institutes of India. But as it is said old is gold MNIT, Jaipur is a perfect place for study. A good environment of Jaipur Pink City give you the comfort. MNIT has better infrastructure, better facilities, better faculty, more funding, more exposure for students etc. So go for MNIT. Apart from that focus on branch.

Even though they both had the same director once upon a time, MNIT Jaipur is definitely way better in every aspect. NIT Jalandhar is new found whereas MNIT Jaipur just celebrated their 50 year anniversary a few years back. MNIT has better infrastructure, better facilities, better faculty, more funding, more exposure for students etc.
