    MSc in Electronics is a course pursued after completing bachelor’s degree in Science courses like physics, computer Science or electronics. Whereas, M.Tech Electronics Engineering is a course pursued by students after completing undergraduate programme in engineering.

    Though both the courses deal with the study of the various aspects of electronics, there are some key course differences between the two subjects that sets them apart. Below is a tabulate where more of it is explained in detail.

    MSc Electronics is a 2-year postgraduate programme where importance is given to thesis rather than project work. So the students undergo project work only during the last semester.

    The admission is on the basis of the marks secured in the Bachelors programme or entrance exams conducted by the universities.

    The admission is strictly based on the marks secured in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering).

    Syllabus

    Subjects included in the curriculum of the course are TV and Video Engineering, Power Electronics, Control theory, operating systems and computer engineering, etc.

    Subjects included in the curriculum are advanced than the subjects in the MSc Electronics. The subjects are power system dynamics, advanced power system operation control, power electronics in power systems, etc.
