    In general, NIT Agartala has an advantage over NIT Meghalaya because of its longer history and better established faculty. Compared to NIT Meghalaya, a more recent institution formed in 2010, NIT Agartala, which was founded in 1965, has a better developed infrastructure, a bigger range of programs, and a more established placement network. The engineering programs of NIT Agartala are well recognized, and the institution has strong industry linkages that help with excellent placement prospects and better average wage packages for graduates.
