In general, NIT Agartala has an advantage over NIT Meghalaya because of its longer history and better established faculty. Compared to NIT Meghalaya, a more recent institution formed in 2010, NIT Agartala, which was founded in 1965, has a better developed infrastructure, a bigger range of programs,
