The basic difference between a B.Tech and Polytechnic engineering courses is that a B.Tech is a degree course while a Polytechnic is a Diploma course in engineering. One can opt for a Polytechnic course just after 10th or it can also be done after 12th. But one cannot opt for B.Tech only after 12th

1- Eligibility Criteria: To pursue A Polytechnic Diploma candidates should be a minimum 10th pass and should appear for entrance exams whereas, for a Bachelor of Technology Minimum Qualification is a 12th pass and then one should appear for an Entrance exam like IIT-JEE, JAM, or state wise organized

Obviously B.Tech is better than Polytechnic. Because In Polytechnic you waste 3 years and not get proper job and then you go for lateral entry in B.Tech. So B.Tech is far better than Polytechnic.

B.Tech is much better than another course. You can do B.Tech for bright career.
