Which is better taking admission in delhi university or take a year drop and get admission in NIT?

Percentage in higher secondary is 98.5% in PCM and 96.4 overall

I would suggest you go for admission in a stream of your choice and not waste a year because you cannot be sure what will be the result.You are also liable for a heavy scholarship. If you work hard and get a good score in a course you do, then companies will definitely pick you for the best job prof
