If you are getting a government run top college with the branch of your wish, then go for it. Just have a look that at which parameter, the college is rated top as the colleges with reserved seats for students of their state itself or a very lenient admission process may not offer at par academics or required study environment.
Moreover, after that SRM would be a nice option followed by LPU. -

Yes, LPU conducted LPUNEST entrance test for its various programmes. However, it depends upon in which stream you want to take admission. For many UG/PG programmes such as btech, B.Sc agriculture, law, management etc. test is mandatory for both admission and scholarship purpose. For some other courses such as computer application, BBA, hotel management, Bsc IT, commerce, arts etc. test is only for scholarship purpose .
