I can tell you about MIT and VIT because I am an MITian and I have a lot of friends in VIT. MIT: When it comes in terms of infrastructure, placements, atmosphere, facilities, MIT is a perfect place. The infrastructure and the student life in MIT is amazing. One of the best things about MIT is, there is everything for everyone, be it photography, anime(yes our college has anime club too), dance, music, drama, making your own formula car, making your own ATV, robotics, RC planes, satellites, rockets, yes we have all this and nothing has been exaggerated. Things like no body contact between opposite sexes, unpractical perms, sniffing dogs in the hostel, is quite unpractical to me for college students. Not only this, VIT main campus, Vellore, if you google, there is nothing in the city. It is just the college and that is it. Even to watch a movie in a decent theatre you have to go to other city.
