    Hi,
    Both are very popular fields. You can join VLSI where only hardware knowledge is required. But if you are well versed with both Hardware and Software skills then of course joining Embedded field would be beneficial.
    After successful completion you will have a framework for evaluating, developing, implementing and integrating embedded systems software projects in this high demand field and will understand the role of embedded systems in the context of complex engineering systems.     Hi,
    It's important that one understands clearly the difference between Embedded system and VLSI technology.
    Embedded system is used to define any computing platform that performs a dedicated or specialized task. Unlike a general purpose PC that can perform a multitude of tasks and is a combination of many complex modules, an embedded system is quite simple in design and application and does not have needless hardwares attached to it.
