Hey, as a student checking out CS programs, both Chandigarh University and LPU are solid picks with good setups. But if I had to choose for computer science, I'd lean towards LPU because their B.Tech CSE offers tons of specializations like AI, Cyber Security, Blockchain, and Robotics, all tied up with big names like Google and Microsoft for real-world skills.
LPU's curriculum dives deep into stuff like algorithms, data structures, and emerging tech, plus they push hands-on projects and internships that actually land jobs—think placements with TCS, Amazon, and more. Chandigarh U has cool infra and options too, no doubt, but LPU feel

    hi,

Both Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) are good choices for Computer Science Engineering (CSE), but they have different strengths. LPU tends to have a larger campus, strong infrastructure, and a wide recruiter network with high placement offers and many global companies visiting for placements. Its CSE placements often show high packages and good industry exposure. CU also offers excellent placements, solid average salaries, and industry tie-ups with major tech firms, sometimes with slightly lower top packages but strong overall results.

In short: LPU may be better for overall exposure and high plac

Both are equally good on their own grounds, but I would like to recommend those who have valid and eligible JEE Main scores then they could go for Lovely Professional University that offers B.Tech in various programs such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. Some of the points why one must consider B.Tech from LPU.
    1. LPU has 600+ acres of campus in Punjab and more than 25000+ students study there among many countries.
    2. A-one infrastructure- All the facilities are available on the campus. You no need to go outside in case of any need such as food, hospital, indoor/Outdoor sports stadium, etc.

Chandigarh University (CU) admissions are generally based on CUCET scores for most of the courses. Students need to appear for the test or submit scores of any other accepted exams as stated by the university. Hence, in some cases, you may get admission in CU without CUCET. The CUCET test is also a scholarship test and if you want to get the scholarship benefits offered by the university based on CUCET scores, then you will have to appear for the exam.

The cutoff changes every year and we are in 2025, so you should know the cutoff for NCHMCT JEE 2025. For NCHMCT JEE 2025, the closing rank for Chandigarh University is around 11195 for the B.Sc. (Hons.) Hotel and Hospitality Management course. This number comes from the latest available round-wise data and gives a basic idea of the expected range. If we see older figures, the 2022 cutoff stayed close to 10201 as the opening rank in Round 1 and about 10382 as the closing rank in Round 2.
