In my view, the combination of mechanics and electronics that is mechatronics is more effective because here you can pursue both the branches and it has more job opportunities, whereas, in mechanical engineering, you can only get knowledge of mechanics thus having less job opportunities so you should choose mechatronics.

Mechanical Engineering provides a broad foundation in all aspects of mechanical design: mechanics, power, control, and manufacturing. Mechatronics Engineering emphasizes the design of electro-mechanical devices ranging from large-scale automated manufacturing systems to micro-scale sensors and instrumentation.

Mechatronics is a dual subject to get knowledge and too to get a job frequently. But, we can't compare to other subjects like this is a common.it is purely technical oriented. These courses will succeed for the upcoming more years to go.

Mechanical Engineering is best to get a job as it is having a wide range where Mechatronics is still evolving in India. So till you won't have good knowledge you won't get a job in Mechatronics.

Mechatronics is much better, as it is a combination of electronics and mechanical. More opportunities are there in this one. Good Luck.
