Which is more profitable: software engineering or computer engineering?

Hello Yaseer, there is no difference in software engineering or computer engineering. IT, Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering or Software engineering .all are same and have same curriculum. Most of the top-notch institutes have any of these branch .not all. if these are same then why is a university like srm is offering all three and the cutoff ranks are different for all?

Depending on your particular skillset and area of interest, either may be lucrative. When comparing degrees, Computer Science students tend to focus on software, whereas Computer Engineering students learn more about hardware. As far as potential earnings go, I SEE computer Science, which concentrates more on software, as a better than computer engineering, which may focus more on hardware.
