Generally, there are four agricultural universities in Maharashtra which are the agricultural colleges that are ranked as the topmost government agriculture colleges in the state these agricultural universities are Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV) Rahuri, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapee
