I would say Surathkal, but again it depends on the specialization you want to take .

Both the NITs are good. Although you can prefer NIT Surathkal due to its good infrastructure, experienced faculties and good placement. You will find more competitive atmosphere in this college, which will encourage you to work hard. Its ranking is also good.
