Which is the best book for studying cosmology?

I would suggest you to begin with Brief History of Time - Stephen Hawking, it's informative but I'm sure you won't get everything clearly.
Then read Michio Kaku's : Parallel Worlds you'll get every date, every event, every discovery properly. I liked his way of presenting events in order. His sentence framing & presentation way is superb.
Then you should try:
1. Fabric of the Cosmos by Brian Greene
2. Road to Reality by Roger Penrose
3. Relativity by A. Einstein
4. The Edge of Reason by Anil Ananthswamy
5. The Universe from Nothing by Lawrance Krauss
