    Dear Titiksha Das,
There is no best book for studying literary criticism and theory. Each book that you pick, gives you a new perspective to understand the theory. Hence, to broaden your perspective, you will have to read as many books as possible. You can opt for Harold Bloom, Jonathan Culler, Eagleton, etc., to widen the perspective.
(Trust me, I hold a Bachelor's degree in English (Hons) from CU).
I hope you find this information useful.
All the best for your future endeavours.
