CTET or Central Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by CBSE. It is a national level examination conducted annually to recruit teachers at the primary and elementary level in Central Government Schools across India. This year, CTET 2019 is scheduled for July 7, 2019 in pen-paper mode. NCERT books are the best source for preparation of Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Check CTET Exam Pattern
Apart from that authors like Arihant, Odisha Publication, G K Publication have several books which help in preparing for the exam. Practice from previous year papers and take mock tests on regular basis. -
If you are geared towards teaching high school and community college, The ELT programme would be more helpful as it includes pedagogical and language teaching-specific theories - on top of linguistic theories.
