Which is the best book to prepare for IIMC entrance exam?

Hi Monty, IIMC comprises of 5 centres. IIMC-Delhi is the headquarter. IIMC entrance is based on 2 types of evaluation. Written Entrance.Interview. If one is selected in the written test, he is called for the interview.There are 3 courses popular in IIMC Delhi.PG in Print Journalism (2 sections of English and Hindi)PG in Radio and TelevisionAdvertising and PR.In addition to that , there are courses like PG in Urdu Journalism, Odia Journalism (Dhenkanal Centre, Orissa).The basic plot for the journalism entrance is General Knowledge. All the 3 entrances of Print, Radio and TV and ADPR will require thorough understanding of General Knowledge. To understand the question types, aspirations should download the previous years question papers available on the Internet.The college website should be regularly checked for dates and other information.For Print Journalism entrance Grammar part is also asked. So basic grammar like articles, preposition and verb agreements and other basic grammar should be grasped. In every question paper since the last 5 years they ask difference between words. Like affect and effect. For that aspirants may check the website Find out how strong your vocabulary is and learn new words at Vocabulary.com. and look for the option Difference between words.RTV entrance may ask about an abstract question which will demand creative inputs. Following the previous question paper is enough For interview If selected for the written, students will be called for interview. The interview ranges from general questions about world politics. Sometimes it may deviate into things like what are your hobbies? Questions about your graduation course is usually asked. One must be able to relate that with journalism. For example- An engineering student would be asked, How can you civil engineering can help you in journalism? Since you did your graduation in civil engineering PS - Be confident, read a lot of newspapers and magazines. Avoid any kind of coaching centres. Everything is basic study. Go for it.
