Mechanical engineering is one of the most preferred and core streams of engineering education. It is the one and only course that gives you a plethora of options in terms of making a career in the field of your own choice. It is one exclusive branch that opens the doors for a student to make their career in the field of their own choice.

B.Tech is a pretty professional course that offers many branches, every branch has it is own importance. Looking into the present technology, and IT world, it is suggested to take CSE or IT. All the best.

Mechanical engineering, you know why because I am doing it. And for someone else, maybe other branch is the best. The point is so simple. Match your interest before choosing a branch, nothing is best or bad here. It's all upto you and your interest.
    Best of luck.

See, it all depends on your interest. However, people prefer CSE (Computer Science Engineering) over any other trade. Other branches like ECE, IT, Mechanical are equally good and you need to give your heart and soul to attain your goal.
