Mechanical Engineering is called an evergreen branch considering its placement potentials. Streams in demand include Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronics, Computer Science and Engineering and so on. Besides, there are new generation streams such as Information Technology, Avionics, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automobile Engineering, Robotics and so on. Considering the trends in the growth of the industry, electronics and computer science streams are predicted to have good prospects in future.

You cannot compare with any branch to each other, because it will depend on your knowledge your branch that will provide you better career so choose the branch according to your preference. -
Every branch in B.Tech will have scope. It mainly depends on your interest and hard work. With hard work, you can achieve everything in life. Rather than scope, first think about your interest.
Among both, CSE has better scope.
As I said, hard work and your interest in that field matters.
