    This decade belongs to electronics. Electronics is and will continue to impact all walk of life. Computer is the facilitating technology for all business and personal activities. Therefore, electronics and computer science will continue to best career options in the field of engineering. Mechanical is an ever green branch for last 50 years and will continue to remain same in next 50 years.

    If you want to do engineering from a private college, as per the present scenario CS/IT is in top because for this branch, companies are in large number and want more number of engineers. On the other hand, for core branches like mechanical, civil and electrical companies are limited and need few skilled engineers.
    Petroleum, chemical and fire branches are highest paid branches. I will suggest you to read syllabus of each branch and job roles you going to play after completing the course.
