B. Arch at LPU is a good choice based on my own personal experience. LPU is amongst the Top 5 School of Architecture, Design and Planning disciplines in India and the top 100 schools globally by 2025 by becoming a Centre of design excellence in Academics, Consultancy and Research. In the program, innovative teaching practices are adopted. One such practice is called Experiential learning week which is organized every semester in which students are taken to nearby historic and construction sites and are given live case studies to do. Educational field visits proposed to understand different architectural styles. Mughal Architecture, Sikh Architecture, South Architectural style.There is a rich culture of internships for final year students who go for very challenging and top placements nationally as well as internationally through department. The department is actively working to arrange internships by making a cluster of architectural and consultant firms with them. Most importantly they are recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA). Their curriculum comprises of Live Projects, Study tour to overseas projects, they follow collaborative learning with Industries. Well there are three things that comes to my mind when it comes to LPU faculty 1. Experienced 2. Well learnt 3. All are fine institutes but I would like to share some insights about LPU: The student must pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and pass with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Or Pass with 50% in Diploma (any stream) (3 years) recognized by Central/ State Govt. (with Mathematics) or equivalent, subject to qualifying marks in NATA 2021 or JEE Main (Paper II) or qualifying marks in any specially designed aptitude test in Architecture conducted by the competent authority of the Central/ State Governments (as/if allowed by statutory body for 2021-22) The following are the Basic program outcomes : PO1 : Design Thinking and development : Apply various methods to assess, analyze and propose design scheme for built environment typologies.
