Hi, I would highly recommend join LPU. Once I was travelling by train from New Delhi to Jalandhar and on my adjacent seats, two students were sitting who were studying in engineering in LPU. Being an educator, I was curious to know about the University, so the same I did. The points they highlighted I will mention below 1) The faculty and the infrastructure and other facilities are excellent. 2) The placements are 100% and the preparation for the same starts from the very first year. Recently, a girl got placed at a package of 42 LPA. Moreover, Amazon recruited LPU students with 28 LPA. More than 650 companies visit LPU every year for recruitment with an average package of 6-10 LPA. 3)They give you the option to choose your pathway elective as well that whether you want a corporate Job or Research or Government Job or you want to be an entrepreneur. 4) There is more than twelve Center of Excellence established by reputable companies like Automation Anyware, Texas Instruments, CISCO, SAP, Cadence, etc. 5) There is an innovation studio in LPU where students can work on their ideas. Moreover, in 2019, when the Indian Science Congress held in LPU, LPU Students also design Solar-powered Driverless Bus to ferry PM Modi to Indian Science Congress 2019 in this studio. 6) Last but not the least, the students told me that LPU has his own space shuttle programme, where students and faculty members are working on satellite programme with the joint help of ISRO. Hi Sonali, For a young 10+2 students this seems to be the most important question, some even go to extent of asking the highest, the lowest, mean, median and average salaries too! Mostly placements is considered as a standalone process. Well, let me write down all the factors which finally boil down to placements: Course curriculum, It needs to be dynamic and industry consulted then only the professionals will be developed which industry really needs. Programme delivery: Classroom teaching doesn't work anymore, it has o be experiential learning technique. Technology training: May times the students do get good skill sets, but these skills are there with many people in market, the freshers need to have the exposure to tools like SAP, Oracle, Advance excel, Github, other MOOCs etc. Which improve the efficiency manifold. Industry interface: To have more and more interactions with industry experts, learning the things hands on and networking! Professional enhancement: Students come from various backgrounds and culture, they may be very good in inculcating the technical skills, but they also need to clear the interviews also for taking the jobs. The soft skills, communication, interpersonal and networking skills need to be inculcated in them not only for interviews but for whole of their careers. Faculty, the faculty which develops the curriculum and delivers the programme with right teaching pedagogy must be top notch. Internships, entrepreneurship, community development projects etc. : They need to be integral part of curriculum so that students get hands on knowledge about real time situations in various aspects of life and business. I have 16 years of experience behind me in some of the top universities of the country in private sector. I can surely tell you that LPU has excelled in all these factors with unflinching focus. I Had same question when I was seeking the place for my higher studies. I am an alumni of LPU and My real brother is also LPU passed out with CSE. From infrastructure to faculty members. From education quality to rankings and facilities in university. In everything LPU performed remarkable. The centralized system of LPU is so much strong that makes things easy to understand. LPU is good in all perspectives whether it is teaching, placements, infrastructure or other facilities. There is strong system for attendance, education and examination. You have to follow the timetable for your classes and maintain the good percentage in attendance.
