As per my experience as an educator in last 16 years, IITs, BITs, PEC, Thapar, some NITs like Suratkhal, Trichy and Warangal, LPU, MNIT, etc. are the best ones to pursue this course. The admissions to all of these are on basis of JEE Mains/Advanced, BITSAT LPU NEST etc. Do check you eligibility even if you are an average students and apply for entrance examinations. Who knows you may get into some top name like LPU or MNIT. Civil engineering is going to have a huge change in the industry in next few years, so you must choose the college whose syllabi is industry consulted, which has the latest technologies as a part of curriculum and most of all has the required infrastructure and equipment to train you on the different facets of this field. LPU seems to be the right choice considering its track record in producing well rounded professionals and stellar placements.
