Hi Nomanjee, Being an education consultant I would advise you to appear in an exam of UCEED. You never know when the luck is with you so you must try for NIFD first then after you must have plan B in your hand. In North India, one of the premier institution is Lovely Professional University, it is situated at Jalandhar in Punjab. Hello Nomanjee You have plenty of options in universities and colleges that provide UG, PG, and Diploma courses in fashion designing but I will tell you about Faishon designing at LPU because one of my close friends just finished b design degree in fashion at LPU and now she joined the Satya Paul ( In campus placement ). As per her feedback, LPU is one of the best design schools in India. LPU follows the total practical in creative Approach from designing to merchandising. The curriculum is so well benchmarked with the foreign universities which help the students to work on Creative exercises and design, Textures, and fabrics. National and international Education tours, Semester exchange options give great exposure to students. Moreover, Live fashion shows and events play a vital role in Boosting motivation in students. LPU also gives exposure to dyeing, Printing, Weaving, Draping, etc. Placements are also good as LPU has a separate department of placement services that take care of Placement drives and professional enhancement of the students. She told me Study tours are an integral part of curriculum with visitation of architectural and prominent sites provides maximum exposure to learn technicalities of architecture. She said. Fashion designing is a branch having a lot of scope and in LPU, they give a lot of exposure to students, through guest lecturers from industry top shots, various in campus and out campus fashion shows, and also they have their own store where the students creations are showcased and sold. The school provides a platform for students to experiment with creative designs, patterns, fabrics and colours. Live with fashion events, visits by renowned national and international fashion designers, innovation and creativity is fostered in the students at every step. They are encouraged to experiment with different materials to create conceptual wear and accessories. Also Students are exposed to fashion shows, craft fairs, industry internships and craft documentation. Dear Nomanjee. There are various colleges that offer fashion designing programme. But to the best of my knowledge, I believe LPU Punjab is one of the private universities in India for the fashion designing programme. My elder sister has done her B. Design Fashion from Lovely Professional University and today she is successfully running her own Brand, she was also part of internship projects with leading Fashion stylists. Also, her designs are appreciated not just in India but even abroad. She always keeps on appraising LPU for different platforms provided by them. I will be sharing a few major highlights of the Fashion Design course based upon her experience. The School of Fashion Designing of Lovely Professional University is doing extraordinary works in the field of Designing. They are conducting Fashion Shows regularly for the students.
