Between UPES and LPU for placements, UPES often has a stronger reputation in fields like engineering, law, and specialised tech because of its industry connections, especially in core sectors. LPU has a bigger campus with a wider mix of recruiters and good opportunities too, but UPES usually edges ahead if your focus is placements. It still depends on your branch and how much effort you put into internships, projects, and interview prep, so chat with students from your specific programme before deciding.

Although both universities are well-known, students have a significant competitive advantage in the global job market thanks to LPU's committed Career Services Cell and its track record of over 2,225 recruiters, including more than 400 that also hire from IITs and IIMs.

When comparing Lovely Professional University (LPU) and University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) in terms of placements, LPU emerges as the stronger option due to its wide industry network, diverse programs, and dedicated placement support. While UPES specializes primarily in petroleum, energy, and allied sectors, LPU offers a broader range of courses including engineering, computer science, management, law, sciences, and emerging technologies. This diversity attracts a larger number of recruiters from multiple industries such as IT services, product-based companies, startups, manufacturing, and multinational corporations, pro

    Dear Ayushman,
As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in.
Also, in my view, I think you should not worry about the placements. If you work hard in the course and learn as much as you can, any company visiting the campus would be happy to hire you. However, you must not neglect polishing your communication skills as well, because companies will check that in their interviews. LPU provides plenty of opportunities to its students to take part in events, competitions, fests in order to let t
